MEASURES

LED LIGHTNING

With the installation of Led Lighting throughout the club we are creating more saving for our members as well as cutting down on our energy usage.

SUSTAINABILITY
MEASURES

RECYCLING

The introduction of Co-Mingle recycling system within the club group has been a great success, with only a small 2% of our generated waste going to landfill. 43% of our overall total landfill waste was paper and through desk paper recycling bins and staff education we have now managed to make sure that these stays out of landfill.

SUSTAINABILITY
MEASURES

SOLAR PANELS

With 860 solar power units and a 100kw system now installed at both the Blacktown clubs we are an industry leader in this area and will continue to control and reduce power consumption where possible.

SUSTAINABILITY
MEASURES

EP&T EDGE MONITORING SYSTEM

The edge monitoring system allows us to monitor gas and water consumption as well as energy usage ensuring that these utilities are being used in the most efficient and sustainable way.

SUSTAINABILITY
MEASURES

PULPMASTER

With the installation of Pulpmaster 4000 our land fill rates have dropped dramatically. Using the food recycling system our food waste is recycled by anaerobic digestion technology to convert waste into a combustible gas. A by-product of the process is a nutrient rich sludge, which is for sale as Amgrow organic fertiliser and used on our fields at Workers Sports.

SUSTAINABILITY
MEASURES

AQUA-CELL CLEARWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM

In a first for Sydney, Blacktown Workers Sports Club now recycles its water to maintain their state-of-the-art sporting complex, and it’s all thanks to Aqua-cell. The wastewater recycling facility is on-site and utilises recycled water from the club and hotel for its water supply.
