We Are Studios

Workers Lifestyle Group was delighted to attend the opening of the We Are Studios art space Blacktown. The first of a kind, We Are Studios is a fully disability-led, inclusive studio that empowers artists with disability to reach their creative potential by creating space to thrive. Established by people with disability, for people with disability, this unique studio has been specifically designed for artists to create, connect, collaborate and exhibit their work. WLG has been responsible for supporting the conversion of a shop space to a purpose- built accessible studio.

The team has worked extremely hard to create an open, practical space with great emphasis on lighting and accessibility.

The artists have said that having this space where they can meet for inspiration, instruction and support has been lifechanging. Starting on day 1 the space is being extremely well utilized.

The team at We Are Studios are working towards putting together ongoing exhibitions of their members art as well as opening opportunities for developing their skills and selling their artwork.

We are Studios can be found at 21 Campbell Street, Blacktown facing the community open space.
